I once saw a cartoon advertising the "Holy Land Cookbook." Inside, they claimed, was a recipe where you could take two Mrs. Paul's Fishsticks and five loaves of Jewish Rye and feed over 5000 unexpected guests. The person submitting the recipe? Jesus, of course.
Well, except for the Mrs. Paul part, it is something Jesus actually did. But, some recipes just can't be duplicated. This is certainly one of them.
Joking aside, why would Jesus find it necessary to perform this particular miracle? Is it just a story, or does it have some significance to our lives?
